Gretchen Gammell graduated with a degree in painting from Oregon College of Art and Craft. She exhibited her acrylic and watercolor paintings for eight years in Portland, Oregon.  Her gallery representation increased with the addition of the Winsor Gallery in Vancouver, British Columbia in 2004 and the Hallway Gallery in Bellevue, Washington in 2007.  She continues to take on commissions from previous clients and new businesses while pursuing representation with new galleries. Her work remains rooted in exploring the female form and mind while balancing such personal issues with the pleasure and intrigue she finds through the unusual color and mark-making of her abstract paintings.
